The annual free live music series usually gets started in July but as is the case with just about everything, the uncertainty of the pandemic delayed the popular event. Folks are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to spread out over the grass expanse in front of the stage, while food and merchandise vendors surround the area.

Sunday Blues in the Park gets started Sunday at Laguna Grande Park in Seaside featuring the funky blues music of Terry Hanck, with the Guidance Band opening at 1 p.m. Blues in the Park is backīetter late than never. No cover, but it’s a restaurant and you know what to do. The aforementioned Friday through Sunday events are part of the Jazz After Hours series. Monday it’s blues with guitarist Stu Heydon, Tuesday funk with guitarist Don Caruth, Wednesday New Orleans flavor with trumpeter Brian Stock, and Thursday it’s Latin with percussionist John Nava. 20-26 Jazz Week at Wild Fish, featuring the Lighthouse Jazz Quartet (Bob Philips, piano Stu Reynolds, saxophone Zach Westfall, bass and Mike Shannon, drums).
